Sharplink Ethereum holdings increase to 867,000 coins, valued at approximately $1.68 billion, with institutional investors' share rising to 46%

ChainCatcher reports that, according to market sources, Ethereum treasury company Sharplink has announced its Ethereum holdings have grown to approximately 867,000 tokens (worth about $1.68 billion). By the end of 2025, its institutional investor shareholding has increased to 46%.

Sharplink has updated its branding, changing from Sharplink Gaming to Sharplink, and adopted “Ethereum with an edge” as its new slogan to better reflect its positioning in the treasury sector. The company’s CEO, Joseph Chalom, stated that Sharplink has staked nearly all of its Ethereum holdings to generate yields and emphasized the company’s focus on disciplined execution and institutional-level risk management. Despite Ethereum’s price dropping over 60% from its peak in August last year, resulting in an unrealized loss of approximately $1.39 billion, the company remains focused on long-term value creation rather than aggressive asset accumulation strategies. Currently, Sharplink ranks second in Ethereum treasury holdings, only behind BitMine Immersion Technologies, which holds about $8.5 billion worth of Ethereum.
