I discovered a harsh fact: 90% of people set goals to "escape pain."
"I want to make a million, the implication is that I am very poor right now, I feel very insecure." I want to have a toned waist, the implication is that I am very ugly right now, I don't deserve to be loved.
This kind of goal based on a "sense of scarcity" will only fill you with anxiety throughout the process. Even if you achieve it, you will only feel a brief sense of relief, not happiness.
True top experts are driven by inspiration.
They do something not because they lack anything, but because they want to create something.
Just like children stacking blocks, not to prove they are master builders, but simply because stacking blocks is fun in itself.
Try replacing "I need" with "I want."
The former is a slave, and the latter is a player.
