Securitize CEO: Will Develop Digital Transfer Agent Project with NYSE to Support On-Chain Settlement of Tokenized Securities

Golden Finance reports that Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo posted on X platform that Securitize has been designated as a digital transfer agent, qualified to mint on-chain securities for companies and ETF issuers on the NYSE tokenized securities platform (digital trading platform). However, this is not the full scope of the partnership. The NYSE has plans to collaborate with Securitize to develop a digital transfer agent program to support on-chain settlement of tokenized securities. The two parties will also jointly establish industry standards for digital transfer agents and tokenization agents, focusing on regulatory requirements, operational processes, and technical specifications, to promote the development of institutional-grade tokenized securities infrastructure.
(Note: Digital transfer agents can be understood as a blockchain upgrade of traditional “transfer registration agencies,” potentially supporting on-chain equity registration, real-time settlement, automatic compliance, dividend distribution, and other automated corporate actions.)
