On February 1st, according to the technology media TechCrunch, in a Reddit AMA session, OpenAI CEO Ultron admitted that DeepSeek weakened OpenAI’s leading position in the field of AI. He said: ‘We are on the wrong side of history on Open Source. I think we need to find a different Open Source strategy, not everyone at OpenAI agrees with this point, and it is not our top priority at the moment. We will produce better models, but the competitive advantage will not be as significant as before.’
