PANews December 18th news, according to CCTV news reports, Trump has obtained enough electoral votes to officially win the presidency. The meeting of the electoral college is a key step in the U.S. presidential election system, and the president-elect needs to obtain 270 out of the 538 electoral votes. The final count shows that Trump won 312 electoral votes. Next, the results of the electoral votes from each state will be sent to Congress. Members of Congress will officially count the electoral votes and announce Trump and Pence as the next president and vice president respectively at the joint session on January 6th. Trump and Pence will be officially inaugurated on January 20th, 2025.
