Trump chooses North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to lead domestic affairs

DailyNews

Golden Finance reported that, according to foreign media, Trump chose North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum to lead the Department of the Interior, a move that puts Trump’s former main competitor in charge of the department. Governor Burgum of North Dakota became a self-made billionaire after selling his software company, which was a factor in helping him build a relationship with Trump. Trump once saw Burgum as a potential opponent in the 2024 election. If approved by the Senate, Burgum will oversee more than 500 million acres of federal land, as well as underground fossil fuels and minerals, making him a key part of Trump’s commitment to increase oil and natural gas production.
