Odaily Planet Daily News According to CNN, as of 7 a.m. Eastern Time, more than 25 states have begun the presidential election voting. The states that have just started voting include:
Alabama (some polling stations follow Eastern Time and will open at 7 a.m. Eastern Time, but most polling stations follow Central Time and will open at 8 a.m. Eastern Time).
Delaware
Washington, D.C.
Florida (Central Time voting opens at 8 am Eastern Time)
Georgia
Illinois
Kansas (due to time zone differences, some polling stations open at 8 a.m.)
Maryland
Massachusetts (cities or towns can choose to open as early as 5:45 am Eastern Time)
Michigan (some polling stations open at 8 a.m. Eastern Time due to time zone differences)
Missouri
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
South Carolina
Tennessee (polling stations with a population of over 120,000 must open before 7 a.m. Eastern Time in the United States)
