31.545 million mu of expected bumper harvest for grain crops in Harbin

On October 1st, Jinsjishuju reported that the sowing area of grains in Harbin this year reached 31.545 million mu, slightly increased compared to last year. Currently, the crops are growing well and a good harvest is expected. According to the Harbin Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, in recent years, Harbin has vigorously implemented the strategy of “storing grain in the land and storing grain in technology”, continuously strengthened the protection of black soil cultivated land, and maintained a grain sowing area of over 30 million mu. Currently, the high-standard farmland area has reached 11.63 million mu, accounting for 41.8% of the basic farmland. The cumulative area of moderate-scale operation is 19.13 million mu, promoting the increase of grain yield per unit and comprehensive production capacity.
