On August 8th, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted a photo with some strawberries on a social platform, with the caption “I like the summer in the garden.” The outside world speculates that Altman’s move may be a metaphor for GPT-5. Previously, OpenAI was reported to be developing a new generation of base models, named “Strawberry”, formerly known as Q* (Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily).
