Babbitt News, on July 7, OpenAI announced on its official website that the GPT-4 API has been fully opened for use, and all paid API users can directly access GPT-4 in 8K context without any waiting. OpenAI is expected to open the GPT-4 API to new developers by the end of July. OpenAI also introduced GPT-3.5 Turbo, DALL·E and Whisper API. Fine-tuned versions of the safe and reliable GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 Turbo will also be available, expected later this year.
In addition, OpenAI announced that it will retire some older models using the Completions API within 6 months, as part of its efforts to increase investment in the Chat Completions API and optimize computing power. While this API is still accessible, starting today it will be marked as “legacy” in the developer documentation
