PANews March 5 News: According to Cointelegraph, cross-border payment company Western Union has partnered with infrastructure provider Crossmint to support the issuance of USDPT stablecoin on the Solana blockchain and connect it to the global payment network. The collaboration will integrate Crossmint’s wallet and payment API with Western Union’s infrastructure, allowing fintech platforms to transfer funds using stablecoins and convert digital dollars into local currency at over 360,000 Western Union cash pickup locations worldwide.
Earlier in October last year, it was reported that Western Union plans to launch the USDPT stablecoin built on the Solana blockchain by 2026.
