The Pi Core Team has issued a final notice requiring all Node operators to update their software to version v0.5.x before March 1, 2026. This is a mandatory step for the network to transition to the Open Mainnet phase. Nodes still running version v0.4.x or earlier will be disconnected from the Testnet and lose their official Node status if they do not upgrade on time.
Only Nodes running v0.5.x or higher are eligible to receive Node Mining Bonuses; non-compliant Nodes will stop receiving rewards immediately.
Version 0.5.x integrates an optimized protocol based on Stellar Core v20 and requires a full blockchain resynchronization to ensure compatibility with the consensus mechanism. Operators need to check their version, update Docker Desktop, activate the Consensus Container, and open ports 31400–31409. This is a crucial infrastructure milestone before Pi enters the Open Mainnet.
