The initial value of the core PCE price index for the annualized quarterly rate was 2.9%, in line with market expectations and higher than the previous value of 2.6%. In addition, the initial value of the annualized quarterly personal consumption expenditures was 3.5%, significantly higher than the expected 2.7% and the previous value of 2.5%.
