Trump stated, “Regardless of whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo, you really have no other choice. You must vote for him. Cuomo is capable of being mayor, while the Democratic candidate Zoran Mamdani is not!” Trump had previously given lukewarm support to the former Democratic governor running as an independent candidate, viewing him as the better option among two bad choices, while being completely pessimistic about the Republican candidate.
