The sources say that the tentative plan involves Google providing cloud computing services to Anthropic. Google has previously been an investor and cloud service provider for Anthropic. The negotiations are still in the early stages, and details may change. Like its peers, Anthropic has been raising substantial funds to keep pace with the AI race. Industry insiders indicate that the R&D breakthroughs driving advancements in artificial intelligence and consumer demand will require more resource investment. About a month after completing a $13 billion funding round, Anthropic has also recently engaged in early financing talks with Abu Dhabi investment company MGX.
