According to Golden Finance reports, after the release of Bitcoin Core V30 on October 10, the debate between Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Knots regarding spam and opreturn continues. Bitcoin core developer Greg Maxwell stated on Bitcointalk on the 15th that the viewpoint of Bitcoin Core can be traced back to Satoshi Nakamoto, and none of the main members of Bitcoin Core particularly like NFT/spam coin traffic; many even loathe it to the bone, causing most Bitcoin Knots members to blush. However, Bitcoin Core's commitment to individual freedom, autonomy, and related principles is strong enough that they recognize that some wasteful or foolish traffic is the price of an open system. The speculative minor improvements related to “spam” are not worth the risk of damaging these attributes, which are the entire reason for Bitcoin's existence.
