U.S. Trade Representative Tai: The office will continue to operate even if the government shuts down.

Odaily News The U.S. Trade Representative, Katherine Tai, stated that U.S. tariff revenue could reach between $600 billion and $1 trillion annually, and even if the government shuts down, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative will continue to operate. In addition, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) stated that up to 750,000 employees may be forced to take leave each day during a government shutdown. (Jin10)
