BlockBeats news, on August 31, EigenCloud announced its latest project plans, which will support applications in various fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), A2A, DeFi, zkTLS, real-world assets (RWAs), DeFAI, DePIN, smart agents, Rollups, and Oracle Machines. On June 17, Eigen Labs announced the launch of the Ethereum re-staking protocol EigenCloud, with a16z crypto investing $70 million through a direct purchase of EIGEN tokens, marking a follow-up investment after a16z’s $100 million investment in EigenLayer in February 2024. EigenCloud is built on top of the EigenLayer re-staking protocol, integrating data availability (EigenDA), general computing (EigenCompute), and dispute resolution (EigenVerify) functionalities. The platform allows developers to cryptographically prove off-chain activities, providing the same trust guarantees as on-chain activities. Currently, over $12 billion in re-staking assets provides security for more than 200 self-verifiable services.
