Gate News bot message, South Korea’s major commercial bank Woori Bank applied for 12 trademarks related to stablecoins on July 7, including “WKRW”, “KRWOORI”, “WONKR”, and “CKRW”. These trademark applications cover business areas such as Crypto Assets financial transactions and electronic transfers. According to South Korean media Digital Asset, Woori Bank is the third major commercial bank in South Korea to enter the stablecoin space, following KB Bank and Hana Bank. This move shows that South Korean Financial Institutions are gradually increasing their follow on the digital asset market.
