OpenAI CEO's new startup World will launch biometric services in the UK this week.
Gate News bot message: The biometric identification project World, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is set to officially launch this Thursday in London. The project uses a spherical device called Orb for eye scanning, completing user identification by generating unique iris codes.
According to reports, World plans to gradually expand its service coverage to major cities in the UK such as Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Belfast, and Glasgow over the coming months. The project aims to address issues of AI misuse, such as deep forgery, through biometric technology.
