According to a report by Jinse Finance, the team has confirmed the hacker’s Ethereum wallet address and proposed a timely white hat bounty program, preparing 2,324 ETH (approximately 6 million USD) as rewards, on the condition that the remaining stolen funds are returned. If the hacker accepts the conditions, Cetus will not take further legal action.
Currently, Cetus has taken several measures in response, including locking contracts to prevent further fund losses, collaborating with the Sui team and third parties for fund tracking, fixing the root cause of vulnerabilities, and hiring professional anti-cybercrime organizations to assist in negotiations. The team stated that it will continue to prioritize the recovery of affected funds, and a complete incident report will be shared later.
