CFTC Acting Chairman announces adjustments to the regulatory policies for the encryption asset industry

Gate.io News bot message, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) acting chair Caroline D. Pham announced support for the Justice Department’s termination of the policy to regulate the encryption asset industry through prosecution. According to the new policy, when the CFTC handles cases related to digital assets, if the defendant lacks subjective intent, it cannot file a lawsuit on the grounds of violating the registration provisions of the Commodity Exchange Act.

Pham simultaneously adjusted the functions of law enforcement agencies, and for compliance cases not involving customer harm or market abuse, quick solutions will be implemented.
