PANews, April 2 - According to CoinDesk, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME) reported that the average daily trading volume of cryptocurrency derivatives in the first quarter of 2025 reached 198,000 contracts, with a notional value of $11.3 billion, setting a new historical high. The trading volume of micro Ethereum futures reached 76,000 contracts, with micro Bitcoin futures increasing by 113% year-on-year, averaging 77,000 contracts daily. Micro contracts have driven overall trading activity to surge due to their low entry threshold and ease of risk management.
