Beijing, February 23 — Data released by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce shows that during the 2026 Spring Festival holiday, key monitored sectors such as department stores, supermarkets, specialty shops, catering, and e-commerce achieved sales of 8.45 billion RMB. According to mobile signaling and third-party big data, the 60 key commercial districts in Beijing saw a holiday foot traffic of 51.094 million people, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.
During this holiday, Beijing’s commercial districts burst with traditional New Year consumption vitality. The Longfu Temple commercial area hosted a Spring Festival market featuring local snacks, blind box collectibles, books, and cultural creations. Wanli Wangfujing WellTown organized the “Come to Wanli, Celebrate the Chinese New Year” six major themed activities, creating a “cultural tourism + immersive experience” model. The 2026 Haidian Spring Tech Temple Fair promoted deep integration of technological experiences and consumption scenes.
