Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 5 — Premier Li Qiang stated in the government work report that we should take the strengthening of the sense of community among the Chinese nation as the main line, actively promote extensive exchanges and integration among all ethnic groups, accelerate the modernization of ethnic regions, and advance the building of a Chinese national community. We will adhere to the Party’s basic principles on religious work, uphold the direction of Sinicization of religions in China, and strengthen the rule of law in religious affairs. Fully implement the Party’s policies on overseas Chinese affairs, safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of overseas Chinese and returned overseas Chinese and their families, and better unite the hearts and efforts of overseas Chinese.
