Port St. Lucie is moving closer to landing a Costco retail store, with city leaders set to consider a purchase and sale agreement for 22.8 acres of land in Southern Grove. This comes after residents have requested a Costco for many years. The proposed 170,000-square-foot store and gas station would be adjacent to a Costco distribution depot currently under construction and expected to open this month, employing over 500 people.
