Abercrombie & Fitch's net sales for the fourth fiscal quarter increased by 5.7% year-over-year, with first-quarter guidance below expectations

Gelonghui, March 4 — Clothing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ending January 31. Net sales were $1.67 billion, up 5.7% year-over-year, in line with market expectations; adjusted earnings per share were $3.68, higher than analysts’ forecast of $3.57. For the first quarter, the company expects sales between $1.108 billion and $1.13 billion, below analysts’ expectations of $1.147 billion; it also expects earnings per share to be between $1.20 and $1.30, also below the expected $1.39.
