China News Service Beijing, March 6 — On March 6, the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress held plenary meetings in the morning and group meetings in the afternoon. The fourth session of the 14th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held joint sector meetings and group meetings throughout the day. The fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress also held a press conference on economic topics.

According to the schedule of the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress:

  • On the morning of March 6, all delegations held plenary meetings to review the draft outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan;
  • In the afternoon, delegations held group meetings to review the government work report and examine the draft outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan.

Additionally, according to the NPC News Center, at 3 p.m. on March 6, the fourth session of the 14th National People’s Congress will hold a press conference at the Media Center News Hall, inviting Zheng Shanjie, Director of the National Development and Reform Commission; Lan Fuan, Minister of Finance; Wang Wentao, Minister of Commerce; Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People’s Bank of China; and Wu Qing, Chair of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, to answer questions from Chinese and foreign journalists on development reform, fiscal budgeting, commerce, finance, securities, and related issues.

Regarding the CPPCC meetings, all-day sector joint meetings and group meetings will be held on March 6.

  • In the morning, discussions will focus on the government work report and review of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC.
  • In the afternoon, discussions will cover the draft outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan and review of the Standing Committee’s work report.
