Abstract generation in progress

【Introduction】Qianwen’s first AI hardware, “Qianwen AI Glasses,” officially launched, with full integration into the Qianwen App coming soon.

On March 2nd, Qianwen’s first AI hardware, “Qianwen AI Glasses,” officially went online, opening a nationwide (300959) “0 yuan reservation” for both online and offline channels.

It is reported that the product will be available for immediate sale in the Chinese market on March 8th and will expand to the global market by 2026. The Qianwen AI Glasses will also be fully integrated into the Qianwen App, with initial features such as food delivery and hotel booking expected to be available to users by the end of March.

“Qianwen AI Glasses” Officially Launched

G1 Series Leads with “0 Yuan Reservation”

It is understood that Qianwen AI Glasses are initially launched with the S1 and G1 series, equipped with the latest generation of Qianwen large models, offering industry-leading response speed and smooth interaction. They support high-precision multimodal understanding and real-time interaction, covering core life and office scenarios such as high-definition photography, AI translation, meeting notes, and object recognition.

Among them, the Qianwen AI Glasses G1 series is the first to open “0 yuan reservation” across all online and offline channels, with official sales starting on March 8th. The G1 series is priced at 2,899 yuan. In provinces with national subsidy policies, eligible users can combine local government subsidies, merchant discounts, and exclusive coupons from the Qianwen App, reducing the final price to as low as 1,997 yuan.

According to reports, in terms of hardware configuration, the G1 series features dual flagship chips with dual systems, five microphone arrays with bone conduction, and high-performance speakers with large diaphragms, providing a clear and transparent audio experience. It adopts a lighter design with replaceable batteries, weighing only about 40g, with a wearing experience close to regular optical glasses. It is equipped with an adjustable neckband and FDA food-grade silicone nose pads, suitable for all-day comfortable use.

In terms of imaging, the G1 features phone-level imaging technology, capable of 0.6-second rapid capture, 3K video recording, and outputting 4K videos through AI super-resolution and super-frame technology. It also adopts the industry’s first Super RAW low-light enhancement technology, significantly improving image quality and stability in dark environments. It has a built-in 64GB storage, the largest in the industry, greatly extending continuous shooting time.

Additionally, the Qianwen AI Glasses G1 is the first to launch a “sunglasses version,” with seven colorful lens options to meet diverse aesthetic and scene needs.

Beyond the domestic market, Qianwen AI Glasses plan to fully enter the international market by 2026, with deep integration with mainstream global services such as Spotify, PayPal, and Google Maps. With the “most powerful open-source large model + top-tier hardware configuration + national-level AI assistant,” they aim to directly compete with tech giants like Meta, Apple, and Google in the AI hardware sector.

Qianwen Seizes a New Entry Point in the AI Era

During the Spring Festival, Alibaba greatly enhanced Qianwen’s service capabilities through the “Qianwen + Alibaba Ecosystem” model, enabling Qianwen to order milk tea, book hotels, flights, and movie tickets, quickly becoming a national-level AI assistant. After the Spring Festival surge, Qianwen announced its entry into hardware, clearly aiming to capitalize on the momentum and secure another AI entry point beyond the app.

According to internal sources at Alibaba, besides AI glasses, Qianwen will also release products like AI rings and AI earphones throughout the year, targeting the global market.

Industry insiders believe that the significance of AI hardware is not only as an entry point but also as a comprehensive enhancement of Qianwen’s “service” capabilities:

Making AI capable of “doing things” hinges on understanding the real world and user intentions.

If we divide the “doing” dimension into digital and physical worlds: in the digital realm, the main test is the model’s intelligence level—coding ability, contextual understanding, and multimodal capabilities. Achieving leading levels in these areas greatly enhances AI’s ability to solve problems, code, and produce reports, meeting productivity needs.

Industry experts also point out that in the physical world, relying solely on the foundational model’s “intelligence level” is insufficient. AI hardware allows Qianwen to step out of smartphones and deeply perceive the real world through various hardware forms like AI glasses, AI earphones, and AI rings. By capturing and interacting with large amounts of ambiguous user needs and multimodal information, it can rapidly improve the efficiency and accuracy of Qianwen’s “service” capabilities, building a more solid technological barrier for Alibaba’s AI service features.

In the future, “multi-entry” forms and stronger “AI service” capabilities will be two key strategies for Qianwen’s competition in the AI market.
