O’Reilly Auto Enterprises will pay $5.6 million in a consent decree with Washington state for systematically denying pregnancy and nursing accommodations to its employees. The agreement, which follows a lawsuit alleging violations of state law and retaliation against workers, requires O’Reilly to compensate over 50 harmed employees and implement new policies and training. Although the company denies discrimination, it agreed to the settlement to focus on team member safety and wellness training.
