WisdomTree launches new tokenized fund, bringing options income strategies to the blockchain

PANews, December 8—According to Cointelegraph, global asset management firm WisdomTree has launched a new digital asset fund—the WisdomTree Equity Premium Income Digital Fund (token ticker: EPXC, fund ticker: WTPIX). The fund tracks the price and yield performance of the Volos U.S. Large Cap Target 2.5% PutWrite Index, bringing traditional options strategies onto the blockchain and highlighting the trend of integrating traditional asset management with blockchain financial infrastructure. Its benchmark index simulates a systematic “put writing” strategy, generating profits by selling cash-secured put options—not by trading directly on the S&P 500 Index, but rather using contracts linked to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, serving as the option seller to earn premiums. The EPXC fund is open to both institutional and retail investors. Due to its tokenization, crypto-native users are also able to invest.
