Foresight News Meldung: Step Finance hat auf Twitter bekannt gegeben, dass Step Finance, SolanaFloor und Remora Markets alle ihren Betrieb einstellen werden. „Nach dem Hackerangriff Ende Januar haben wir alle möglichen Wege geprüft, einschließlich Finanzierungen und Übernahmen. Leider konnten wir keine gangbaren Ergebnisse erzielen, weshalb wir beschlossen haben, sofort alle Geschäfte einzustellen. Wir erarbeiten derzeit basierend auf einem Snapshot vor dem Vorfall ein Rückkaufprogramm für STEP-Inhaber und einen Rücknahmeprozess für Remora rToken-Inhaber. Remora Token bleiben weiterhin mit einem 1:1-Reservenverhältnis bestehen.“
Foresight News berichtete zuvor, dass Step Finance in einer Erklärung zum Hackerangriff erklärte, dass der Angriff auf die Geräte der Führungskräfte des Unternehmens zurückzuführen sei, woraufhin etwa 40 Millionen US-Dollar aus dem Treasury gestohlen wurden. Nach Entdeckung der Sicherheitslücke hat das Team umgehend mit Cybersicherheitsforschern und den zuständigen Behörden zusammengearbeitet, die Ermittlungen aufgenommen und die Strafverfolgungsbehörden informiert. Zudem wurden vorübergehend einige Betriebsaktivitäten eingestellt.
