According to the latest research by Trend Force, the total revenue of the world’s top 10 IC designers in 2024 will be about US$249.8 billion, an annual increase of 49%. The AI boom has driven the overall semiconductor industry upward, especially Nvidia’s revenue growth rate in 2024 is as high as 125%, opening a significant gap with other manufacturers. Looking ahead to 2025, edge AI devices will become the next wave of semiconductors, as advanced semiconductor processes contribute to the growth of AI computing power, various large language models (LLMs) continue to emerge, and new open-source models such as DeepSeek have the opportunity to lower the cost threshold of AI and help AI-related applications penetrate from servers to personal devices.
