Why has ETH always failed to keep up with BTC, for example, when BTC was at 69000, ETH was at 4800, but now BTC is at 90000, while ETH is only around 2000.
The value logic of BTC has always been different from that of ETH. BTC is more like digital gold, with irreplaceable symbolic value and store of value as the first cryptocurrency. However, ETH is able to develop because it is a smart contract with strong scalability. Three years ago, due to the metaverse project and NFT project, the on-chain activities were extremely active, and many cryptocurrency cultural communities emerged. However, over time, these projects did not increase, but rather decreased. Now they are almost invisible. Everyone who comes to the cryptocurrency industry is for speculation and quick profits. Although the situation was similar for the metaverse and NFT at that time, it can be found that there are some real players and fun in it. I don't understand why these developments have disappeared after three years. Now ETH seems more like an empty shell, with no meaningful projects running on it, and no one is really using this blockchain to do anything. I don't know what the future holds, I only know that the current ETH seems to be very valueless. It is completely reasonable for it to not keep up with BTC, and even if BTC drops again, for example, to around 70,000, the price of ETH is likely to go to the range of 1300-1500. With BTC returning to 90,000, 100,000, 110,000, ETH may not be able to break through 2000, because there is really nothing meaningful running on the ETH chain now. I am very pessimistic about ETH. Can anyone tell me what I can expect?
