Report: Bitcoin inflation has been lower than gold
According to a new report from Glassnode, Bitcoin (BTC) generated 900 BTC per day before the fourth Halving event, resulting in an Inflation rate of 1.7%. After the Halving, the new figure is roughly equivalent to 450 BTC per day, with an annual inflation rate of 0.85%. These metrics make the network's supply issuance rate significantly lower than gold's 2.3%, an historically important asset that Bitcoin is often compared to.
