Tom Emmer's CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act Advances to House Floor



The House Financial Services Committee (HFSC) has passed the CBDC Anti-Surveillance State Act, which aims to prevent the Federal Reserve from issuing a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) to individuals. The legislation is now ready for a future vote on the House floor. The bill has received support from Republican co-sponsors but faced opposition from Democrats on the Committee.
