I_m not saying we should do away with self custody, just that it_s not for everyone.

We can rebuild the current financial rails on our new tech - like the gold standard, but we don_t have to pass around IOUs because the gold itself is free to store, and cheap to transport regardless of distance.

The "gold bugs" can still keep it under their mattress, and accept all the responsibility that comes with that.

And most importantly, the government and elected officials can_t hide shit from us anymore because it_s all onchain, and the fed can_t print us into oblivion.

It doesn_t have to be ALL self custody. My mom is not ready and will never be ready to secure her own keys.
