According to a report by TRM Labs, hackers linked to North Korea have stolen over $200 million in cryptocurrency in 2023, accounting for more than 20% of all stolen crypto this year. In the past five years, cybercriminals have stolen over $2 billion. Last year was particularly successful for hackers, with over $800 million stolen, mainly through attacks on DeFi protocols.
