NFT Royalties Lowest in Two Years as Bored Ape Yacht Club and Azuki Elementals Prices Fall
NFT royalties have hit a two-year low, with a recent drop in the floor price of Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs and controversy surrounding the launch of the Azuki Elementals collection contributing to the decline. In April 2022, NFT creators earned an estimated 75.7 million in royalties in a single week, but the current numbers are significantly lower. NFT marketplace OpenSea and rival marketplace Blur are now on par with each other in terms of royalties paid.
