The Iran war is creating a PCB materials bottleneck

The key issue is high-purity PPE resin, a critical material used in PCB laminates. SABIC, controlled by Saudi Aramco, reportedly accounts for around 70% of global supply, and its Jubail facilities have been shut down after Iranian strikes
The price impact is already significant. PCB prices reportedly surged as much as 40% in April. Organic chemicals and hardeners are up 40–70%, plastic resin costs have nearly doubled, chipset prices are up 15–20%, and packaging materials have jumped 45%
Samsung Electronics raised prices on Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Dell and HP are reportedly planning laptop price hikes of 15–20%, while Sony added $100 to the PlayStation 5
