Just realized how easy it is to check unknown numbers in Pakistan now. Got a sketchy call yesterday and thought, why not look up whose SIM it actually is?
Turns out you can check no details pretty quickly through a few different ways. Most telecom providers like Jazz, Zong, and Ufone let you verify info directly from their sites or by sending a quick SMS. I tried the Jazz method—just dial *444# and it shows you registration details. Pretty straightforward.
There's also some free online tools floating around if you don't want to go through carrier portals. You just enter the number and wait a minute or two for results. Gets you the owner's name, CNIC, and which network they're on.
Obviously gotta be careful about privacy stuff though. Only check numbers for legit reasons, not to stalk people or anything sketchy. If you're dealing with actual fraud or harassment, there's also the PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) you can report to.
Anyone else dealing with random unknown calls? These methods actually work pretty well to figure out who's behind them. What's your go-to way to check no when something seems off?
