The blockchain world is starting to move in response to quantum threats. Following the risk of Bitcoin and Ethereum facing the "Q-Day," Naoris Protocol officially launched its quantum-resistant mainnet this week. This move is not just a technical step; it sends a serious message about the future of crypto assets.

Google's recent announcement has heightened concerns. The claim that a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could crack Bitcoin with fewer than 500,000 qubits far exceeds previous estimates. As for Ethereum, assets worth $100 billion are under threat from potential security vulnerabilities. It is precisely at this point that Naoris makes a difference.

It is noteworthy that the protocol was built from the start using post-quantum cryptography approved by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology. Accounts, transactions, and digital assets are protected within this new standard framework. The particularly interesting feature is the "irreversible security transition" mechanism; once a user adopts quantum-resistant keys, attempts to perform transactions with old classical cryptography methods are automatically blocked.

Looking at what was done during the testnet phase, this operation was tested on a serious scale. Over 106 million transactions were verified, more than 603 million threats were detected and mitigated. Over 3.3 million wallets were created, and over one million security nodes were activated worldwide. If you ask what comes after a million, the answer is clear: the protocol will continue to evolve. Support is being developed for wallets, exchanges, Layer 2 networks, and DeFi platforms.

The mainnet has now been launched with strategically invited participants. This group operates the initial validator nodes and forms the security layer of the network. The native NAORIS token is the backbone of the system; it secures transactions, enforces rules, and builds trust among users. At launch, the token's market value is around $35.49 million.

Naoris' approach is radically different from traditional blockchains. Quantum-resistant security is not only within its own network but also lays the foundation for a broader ecosystem in the future. How Bitcoin and Ethereum will respond to this threat remains to be seen; Naoris is already taking proactive steps.
