Market conditions are so terrible, even hackers are going broke.

Solana's largest lending protocol $DRIFT was hacked early this morning for nearly $285 million. The Solana ecosystem has taken another hit.

The hacker gained admin privileges, manipulated oracles and withdrawal channels, quickly looted $285 million worth of assets (including JLP, USDC, USDT, etc.), then bridged to ETH and ran.

Even more outrageous, a week before the incident, Drift actually changed its multi-signature mechanism, lowering security thresholds, and also announced the departure of core personnel, effectively leaving a backdoor for hackers.

As a result: DRIFT tokens plummeted, $SOL whales were also liquidated for over $4 million, and the already difficult market situation worsened.

Can you still trust DeFi? Hackers run off with the money, and in the end, it's all retail investors footing the bill.
