"People who want to win don't need to be taught." Many juniors and classmates around me want to switch to coding, and our daily conversations go like this:

1. "I didn't major in CS in undergrad, can I find an SDE job?" Answer: It depends on your connections, not your major. No one is stopping you from learning.
2. "What skills should I learn?" Answer: Start with LeetCode; passing that is essential for big tech interviews.
3. "LeetCode? Isn't AI popular now?" Answer: You haven't even learned data structures and you're talking about AI? Try experiencing it first!
4. "So, what should I prepare?" Answer: Look at the job description, usually you need to pass the resume screening first. Find some projects to showcase, and at least know how to do LeetCode.
5. "Projects? Do I need to find a school teacher to work with?" Answer: What does a project have to do with teachers???
6. "I just don't know if I'm suitable for coding." Answer: Whether you're suitable or not has nothing to do with earning a living. Do you want to switch to SDE? Also, why not try doing some LeetCode to get a feel for it???
Exhausted 😣
