A person who cannot be economically and materially independent, who cannot be self-sufficient, will be controlled by others, humiliated, directed, and abandoned. They will have neither freedom of time nor freedom of body. To change one's circumstances, one must first change one's economic situation and increase income. Without economic accumulation, there is no free time, no independent capacity, and no basic respect.
