On March 16, Sunshine Power announced a partnership agreement with Romania’s leading energy solutions company, ENEVO Group, to collaborate on energy storage systems with a total capacity of 1GWh. The project will be implemented in two phases: the first phase supplies 440MWh, with delivery planned before December 2026; the second phase adds 560MWh. Once completed, the total installed capacity will exceed 1GWh, with systems deployed across Romania. The project uses Sunshine Power’s PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage system, a flagship product designed for grid support and renewable energy integration.

According to the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, in 2025, China’s cumulative production of power and energy storage batteries reached 1,755.6GWh, a year-on-year increase of 60.1%. Domestic sales of power batteries grew by 51.8% year-on-year. The dual demand from energy storage and electric vehicles continues to drive the expansion of the lithium battery market.

Institutions note that solid-state batteries are poised for rapid development, with equipment segments expected to benefit first. Leading companies in the complete production line are capable of providing comprehensive solutions and are likely to benefit from capacity building in solid-state batteries and the expansion cycle of traditional lithium battery capacity.
