▶️ Trump's strategy toward Iran remains inconsistent. On Friday, he spoke of "winding down" the war, and on Saturday, he gave Iran 48 hours to open the Strait of Hormuz or threaten to attack its power plants.
America faces problems: Negotiations are difficult, Iran's regime is unstable, and both sides are unwilling to make concessions. Trump has four options:
▫️Negotiate,
▫️Withdraw,
▫️Continue strikes
▫️Escalate the conflict
Declaring victory looks doubtful:
▫️Iran will retain nuclear arsenal and control of the strait, threatening oil supplies. Continued strikes and a stronger coalition could reduce attacks, but there is no guarantee of success.
Escalation (strikes on power plants, seizure of islands) is extremely risky:
▫️Further attacks on Persian Gulf facilities, increased economic losses, and damage to global LNG are possible.
