Hello, connections,
Today, I’m posting not from the financial side of my work, but as a novelist and IP creator.
I am currently seeking overseas agency, publishing, and adaptation opportunities for one of my Japanese commercially published titles.
It is an isekai romantic fantasy built around a powerful hook:
A pregnant Cinderella on the run.
The heroine, Sena, spends one extraordinary night with a crown prince and comes to carry his secret child. Yet the life she truly lives is far from royal fantasy. She is an immigrant hotel cleaner, working room by room every day, trying to protect the quiet, modest future she wants for herself.
What she longs for is not wealth or aristocratic privilege, but something far more human: a home of her own, a peaceful life, and the freedom to choose her future.
And yet her true identity is far greater than it appears. She comes from the bloodline of a saint once chosen by a goddess, and in a neighboring kingdom, she was born a duke’s daughter.
This contrast is the core of the story:
romance and survival, royalty and labor, destiny and self-determination.
The work has already been officially commercially published in Japan, and I believe it has strong international potential as an IP for:
•translation rights
•overseas publishing
•manga adaptation
•anime development
•cross-media expansion
I also believe the concept travels well across cultures. It combines elements familiar to global audiences — Cinderella, romantic fantasy, hidden identity, pregnancy suspense, royal drama, and female emotional resilience — with the distinct storytelling appeal of Japanese isekai.
In a sense, it is a Cinderella story that began in Japan and could now return to Europe in a new form.
The tone is commercially accessible and aligns well with audiences for romantic fantasy and Harlequin-style emotional storytelling, while remaining closer to R15 than explicit adult fiction.
If you are a literary agent, rights professional, publisher, producer, or adaptation partner interested in developing Japanese-origin romance/fantasy IP for international markets, I would be very glad to connect.
Thank you.
