JPEX Suspected Fraud Case Further Hearing, 8 Defendants Granted Continued Bail Case Adjourned to June

Techub News reports that there has been new progress in the virtual asset trading platform JPEX fraud case. Police have currently filed charges against 16 people. Among them, a case involving internet celebrities Lin Zuo, Chen Yi (real name Chen Yingyi), and six others was re-heard yesterday (the 16th) at the Eastern District Magistrates’ Court. Magistrate Ko Wai-hung postponed the case to June 1 for case management. During this period, except for the first defendant Zheng Junxi, who remains in custody for other cases, the remaining seven defendants were granted continued bail. The eight defendants include 5 men and 3 women: artist Zheng Junxi, internet celebrities Lin Zuo and Chen Yingyi (stage name Chen Yi), internet celebrity Xiang Xiang Liang Qixiang, Coingaroo operations director Qu Zhuoji, general manager Zhao Jingxian, and others Xiao Yingqian and He Jiwen. They are charged with conspiracy to commit fraud, fraud, misleading or deceiving others to invest in virtual assets, and money laundering, among other charges.
