The healthcare industry is undergoing rapid transformation. Physician burnout, outdated infrastructure, and increasing administrative demands are pushing the entire system to its limits. As a result, clinical and technology leaders see “agent-driven healthcare” as the optimal path for reform.

At the HIMSS Global Health Conference in Las Vegas, leaders discussed how Google Cloud and its partners are adopting artificial intelligence across various aspects, including payers, providers, and patient experience. The discussions covered a wide range of topics, from responsible AI governance in radiology to digital triage tools. A clear takeaway is that healthcare is shifting AI from a passive assistant to embedded “intelligent agent AI” within workflows.

As signs of “agent-driven healthcare” becoming more mature, the importance of “trust infrastructure and interactive AI” is increasingly evident. Responsible AI is no longer just a policy issue but a clinical workflow concern. Healthcare providers are integrating AI tools within regulatory frameworks to enhance efficiency.

Experts look forward to deeper integration of AI systems in medical scenarios. Systems utilizing AI agents will accelerate changes in staffing structures, with personnel increasingly playing roles as strategists and expectation managers.
